LOOK | How 'Clear the Shelters' shaped out across Northeast Ohio

It's an annual event that helps shelter animals find their fur-ever homes.

CLEVELAND — For the fifth year in a row, WKYC teamed up with other NBC and Telemundo stations for "Clear the Shelters," an initiative to help get pets adopted across the country.

And Saturday was the day. Our crews visited some of the 21 local shelters participating in the nationwide initiative.

Last year, more than 100,000 pets were adopted from over 900 shelters across the country (including nearly 300 in Northeast Ohio alone), with Clear the Shelters as a whole helping more than 250,000 pets find
