LAKE COUNTY, Ohio — The Lake County Humane Society is making a plea to help find two senior dogs a new forever home together.

Mississippi and River – ages 17 and 9 – are brother beagles that have suddenly found themselves without a home.

“These poor pups have been through a lot after their owner passed away and then they were abandoned by their remaining family,” the Lake County Humane Society posted on Facebook. “Now they are here and so hopeful that another human comes along to steal their hearts and give them the warm and cozy home they deserve!”

The Humane Society said both dogs “have youthful souls and infinite love to give.”

Their Facebook post had nearly 1,000 shares within 24 hours.

If you're interested in adopting these beagle brothers, you can get more information HERE.

If you can't adopt a pet right now, the Lake County Humane Society is always accepting donations.
