Taps & Tails dog bar opens in Tremont

Grab a cold one while your pup plays!

CLEVELAND — Imagine this scenario: Your dog is bored, and you're thirsty. So, you wonder where you can go to satisfy both your needs.

Well, wonder, no more. Taps & Tails opened its doors last week in Tremont. It's a self-proclaimed "dog bar" with plenty of fun things for both humans and pooches.

A full bar area greets you when you walk in. Drafts, canned beers, wine and special dog-themed cocktails for your ordering pleasure. Visitors are encouraged to bring any takeout food with them, but Taps & Tails plans to implement food trucks soon.

Meantime, while you're sipping on a cold one, your dog is playing in a 2,100 square foot exercise area. Agility ramps and turf are ready for them to explore. There's also an outdoor area, where you'll find the same concept.

Plus, no worries if you have to step away for a minute. A dedicated staff of "bark rangers" are on-hand to keep an eye on your pup.

A day pass for dog owners is $8; a monthly pass is $29; a yearly pass is $219. Non-dog owners are welcome, too! You must be 21.

And, as far as safety goes, it's a top priority at Taps & Tails. Only vaccinated and friendly dogs are allowed.
