CLEVELAND — Sunglasses may be the go-to warm-weather accessory, but as trends change, so should your eyewear.
With that in mind, 3News' Kierra Cotton met up with 3News Style Contributor Hallie Abrams for the scoop on the hottest styles of the summer. The Wardrobe Consultant told us she believes sunglasses are an essential accessory.
"They truly do serve as a way of protecting your eyes," she said. "So you're not squinting, you're not going to get extra fine lines and wrinkles. And they also protect your eyeball itself. So they're essential as well as a decorative accessory."
Abrams took us to SEE Eyewear at the Van Aken District in Shaker Heights and showed off some of this season's biggest trends for both men and women. When it comes to saving or splurging, she says there are a few things to keep in mind.
"Personally, I believe in quality when it comes to sunglasses because you want a quality lens and you also want a frame that's not going to break and snap," she said. "But at the same time, if you are maybe not the most responsible person in putting your frames in their case, you also want to be considerate of of the price point."
All of SEE’s sunglasses retail for $149, but Abrams matched similar styles for less from Target. And from aviator to oversized, wayfarer to retro, there's a style out there for everyone.
