Trying to keep those fitness resolutions? Here are some creative ways to stay active outdoors

Sara Shookman found some fun ways to keep moving.

What do you do when you love an outdoor winter workout, but there isn't much snow on the ground?

WKYC's Sara Shookman checked out three creative ways to stay active this winter - because sadly, her cross country skis haven't gotten much use this year.

Her first stop was Rocky River Reservation, where naturalist Marty Calabrese took her on a hike and nature experience, revolving around a brisk walk to scout tracks and a beaver dam, birding and more.

Next, Sara hit the ice for some skating with a view at The Rink at Wade Oval in University Circle with UCI President Chris Ronanyne. There's no need to count out outdoor skating after the holidays are over. The Rink stays open through Feb. 18th.

After a cold morning outside, Sara warmed up inside at The Foundry where she met up with rowing coordinator Nate Shoemaker to try out their state-of-the-art indoor rowing tanks, which are open to the public for fitness classes.
