Raising Cane's raising money to help blood banks curing coronavirus outbreak

Next Monday through Thursday, 15% of funds raised will go to the American Red Cross of Northern Ohio

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Raising Cane's Ohio restaurants announced they'll be relaunching their fundraiser campaign next week to help local organizations affected by coronavirus.

Their dine and donate program will be held through drive-thru windows at all of their restaurants across the state. To start, funds will go toward blood banks in the region.

"Raising Cane's Ohio has identified blood banks across Ohio and Northern Kentucky as one of many vital needs that need support right now," Marketing Director Matt Salts said in a press release.

The fundraiser kicks off next Monday, April 20, and goes until Thursday, April 23. If you want to donate, you need to mention the fundraiser at the drive-thru window. Fifteen percent of the money collected will be donated.

Salts also recognized that there are plenty of worth organizations that deserve help during the coronavirus pandemic, adding they can submit requests for fundraisers through their Community Request Portal on their website.

Cane's also just wrapped up a fundraiser with the Mid-Ohio Food Bank yesterday.
