Discount Drug Mart giving 'We Care' bonus to employees

The company is increasing the hourly rate of team members by $2 as part of the initiative.

MEDINA, Ohio — As Ohioans are being told to “stay at home,” there are a group of people (those who work in essential businesses) who are needed to head into work.

One Ohio company is thanking their employees and offering financial help during the COVID-19 crisis. Discount Drug Mart is increasing the hourly rates of team members by $2 as part of a “We Care” initiative.

The bonus’ will be retroactive to March 10 and be given until April 6. The company is working on a plan for salaried employees.

Discount Drug Mart employs over 4,500 people throughout their 76 stores.
