Two Canton police officers went to the hospital after a pair of city police cruisers collided with each other while responding to a call Wednesday night.
According to authorities, the cruisers (each containing two officers) were responding to a call of "shots fired" when they collided on the 1800 block of 4th St. Northwest. One of them went on to hit a home's garage.
Two of the officers involved went to the hospital on their own and did not sustain any serious injuries. The other two officers declined treatment. No one was hurt inside the garage.
The extent of the damage to both cruisers is unknown at this time. The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating.
