Alianna DeFreeze’s father is calling on city officials to tear down abandoned homes in Cleveland. 

On Monday, Damon DeFreeze held a press conference calling on Cleveland officials to tear down abandoned homes across the city after a string of recent deaths.

It's a plight that is near to his heart.

In 2017, Defreeze’s daughter, Alianna, was found dead inside an abandoned home on the city’s east side. Since her death, her family has advocated for change—from school alerts to tearing down abandoned homes.
