Cleveland Indians announce new partnership with Papa John's, giving fans a chance at discounted pizzas

Fans can get 25 percent off regular menu price pizzas the day after every Tribe win this season.

The Cleveland Indians on Tuesday announced a new partnership with Northeast Ohio Papa John's pizza shops that will give fans a chance at discounted pies.

According to the new promotion, fans will get 25 percent off regular menu price pizzas the day after every Tribe win if they use the promo code "TRIBEWIN" for online orders. The deal will run through the entire 2019 season at all Northeast Ohio locations.

"The Cleveland Indians have been great partners for Papa John’s," Tom Dowd, Northeast Ohio Papa John’s Franchise Co-Op President, said in a statement. "They are an organization that is imaginative in their approach to sports partnership and they understand how to help partners like us engage with their fans."

In addition, the company will also offer the Carlos "Cookie" Carrasco special, a large one-topping pizza and dessert cookie for $15. 10 percent of proceeds from all special orders will be donated to the Carlos Carrasco Children's Foundation.

"When Papa John’s approached us, we saw an interesting and innovative opportunity to re-imagine our partnership," Ted Baugh, Indians Senior Director of Corporate Partnerships, said. "For us, we are dedicated to performance and winning as an organization, so being creative and applying those core values to this arrangement was natural."

The Indians have partnered with Papa John's since 2014, and were named the national Papa John’s Sports Team Partner of the Year in 2016.
