Brunswick Hills Fire Department to throw drive-by parade to celebrate community birthdays

The parade will take place on Saturday, April 11th

BRUNSWICK, Ohio — Community members in Brunswick Hills have some celebrating to look forward to during the coronavirus pandemic.

In a post on Facebook, the Brunswick Hills Fire Department announced that they will be bringing some joy to kids who have had to cancel birthday parties amid Coronavirus concerns.

"We have been notified of a couple of Birthdays this month that have had their parties cancelled due to the current situation," the Fire Department wrote on their Facebook page. "We have been requested to do drive by parades to help show these kids some love on their birthdays."

The parade will take place on Saturday, April 11 at 3:00 p.m.on Emerald Lane just west of the Substation.

The Fire Department will not be getting out of their vehicles or interacting with families, but will celebrate using lights and sirens. They are encouraging community members and neighbors to join in tow and honk their horns and wave safely from their cars as the parade passes through the Township.

Anyone who lives within the Township and has a child celebrating a birthday in April is encouraged to email their name and address to astrazzo@brunswickhillstwp.org.
