21-year-old arrested in connection to Paris Township shooting

Gage Woods, 21, arrested in connection to a Paris Township shooting.

STARK COUNTY, Ohio — The Stark County Sheriff’s Office announced on Tuesday afternoon that it has made an arrest in connection to a recent shooting in Paris Township. 

According to a press release, 21-year-old Gage Woods was arrested on Tuesday morning and charged with one count of Felonious Assault (F2) and is currently being held in the Stark County Jail.

The incident occurred on Monday, February 8, when officers responded to the shooting of a juvenile in the 12000 block of Lisbon Street SE. Officers arrived on scene and found an underage person with multiple gunshot wounds, and he was transported to a local hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The Stark County Sheriff's Office worked alongside the Northeast Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force to find and arrest Woods in connection to this crime.
