Just two days later, the East Cleveland Police was called to conduct a welfare check and found the victim deceased in his apartment.

Williams was quickly identified as a suspect and officials began a search for his whereabouts.

Investigators learned that Williams may be residing at a home in the 900 block of Paxton Avenue. At the home, officials learned that Williams was hiding inside. K9 Officer Rocky was allowed to enter home in search of Williams.

Williams was bitten by K9 Rocky and taken into custody shortly after. He was evaluated by Cleveland EMS and turned over to East Cleveland Police.

“This suspect thought he could hide from officers for this heinous crime but when the U.S. Marshals Service looks for you, you will be found," said U.S. Marshals Pete Elliott.
