Unsolved Canton murder: Police still hunting for suspects who killed 1-year-old boy

1-year-old Ace Lucas was shot and killed in the overnight hours back on July 22.

CANTON, Ohio — Several weeks have now passed since 1-year-old Ace Lucas was killed in an early morning shooting. It happened around 2:30 a.m. on July 22 at a home in the 1600 block of Clarendon Ave. SW in Canton.

Wednesday morning, authorities re-released surveillance video of the suspects outside of the Lucas residence prior to the shooting with hopes somebody might have information in the case.

Detectives say they have information that indicates that one or more for the suspects involved may be from the Chicago area.

Ace's twin brother was also shot during the incident. Both were sleeping at the time.

A $5,000 reward is being offered for anybody who can provide details that lead to the arrest and conviction of any suspect involved in Ace’s death. Police are asking for any tips, no matter how insignificant the information may seem. Tipsters can report any details by calling the Canton Police Department Detective Bureau at 330-489-3144.
