Akron police arrest woman for deadly stabbing

AKRON, Ohio — Akron police have arrested Cher Wagner, 33, for the stabbing death of a 41-year old woman.

Officers responded to the scene on Euclid Ave. around 6 p.m. Tuesday where officers found the victim laying in front of a house with a stab wound to her chest.

The victim, who has been identified as Kelly Avery, was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Police later arrested Wagner leaving a home near the crime scene. Investigators say Wagner allegedly stabbed the victim during an argument. Wagner has been charged with murder and is currently in the Summit County Jail.
