AKRON, Ohio — Police have arrested the man they believe shot and killed a 25-year-old more than a week ago on Akron's west side.

Damarious A. Wells, 29, was taken into custody around 8:35 a.m. Wednesday on the 100 block of Tate Road. Wells is accused of shooting Marques Graves in the head back on Oct. 26 outside Wings 18 on Roming Road.

Graves was apparently sitting in his car when he was shot around 4 a.m. that morning. He died from his injuries at a local hospital.

Specific charges against Wells have not yet been announced. Court records show prior convictions for theft and failure to register as a sex offender.
