12-year-old North Royalton girl found safe after Amber Alert; suspect captured in Cleveland

Tessa Kozelka is believed to be okay after allegedly being taken by her 23-year-old stepbrother Micey Stiver.

NORTH ROYALTON, Ohio — Police have canceled an Amber Alert for a 12-year-old North Royalton girl who was allegedly abducted by her stepbrother.

Authorities confirmed both Tessa Kozelka and 23-year-old Micey Stiver were located in Cleveland just after 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The child has been reunited with her family, while Stiver is in police custody. Authorities tell 3News that charges are pending as the investigation remains ongoing.

Tessa had last been seen near the intersection of State Route 82 and Deer Creek Drive in North Royalton around 2 a.m. on April 4. Officials indicated she was with Stiver, who was also referred to as her "boyfriend."
