CAUGHT ON VIDEO | Akron Police searching for thief who used concrete to rob car

The suspect threw a piece of concrete through the window of the victim's car which was parked near 388 S Main St., then reached through the broken window and removed the victim's purse.

AKRON — Akron Police are asking for your help in identifying the suspect who threw a piece of concrete through the window of a car, then robbed the victim's purse last month.

According to police, the robbery occurred on June 18 around 2:40 p.m. The suspect threw a piece of concrete through the window of the victim’s car which was parked near 388 S Main St., then reached through the broken window and removed the victim’s purse.

Police believe the suspect may have sustained injury to his hand. He was walking with 3 other males at the time of the incident and they all walked away down Rosa Parks Blvd towards Broadway.
