CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio — Cleveland Heights police are investigating a fatal shooting that took place over the weekend.

When police arrived, they found 23-year-old Malik Moore laying on the ground in front of Oakdale Road.

Police began administering aid while EMS was en route.

Moore was transported to University Hospitals, where he later passed away.

On Monday evening, Cleveland Heights community members plan to light up the streets in memory of Malik Moore. Lumineers (bags and candles) will be distributed to the homes on Rexwood, Oakdale, Edgewood, Meadowbrook (between Rexwood and Lee) and Kensington (between Rexwood and Lee).

Family, friends and neighbors will meet on Oakdale at 7 p.m.  At 8 p.m., the goal is for all the neighbors to light the luminaries at the end of their driveways. At that point, those gathered will take a walk through the neighborhood.
