Cleveland police: 1 dead, 2 injured in shooting

Both injured women were transported to Metro Health Medical Center and are listed in serious condition.

CLEVELAND — A man is dead and two women injured after a shooting in Cleveland, according to police.

Officers responded to calls of a shooting that took place on the 700 block of East 96th Street Wednesday evening.

When officers arrived, they found a 24-year-old man dead, a 25-year-old woman shot in the leg and a 30-year-old female also shot in the leg. Both women were transported to MetroHealth Medical Center and are listed in serious condition.

The Cleveland Division of Police has not revealed if there is a suspect identified in the shooting.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner has identified the victim as 24-year-old Christopher West.
