Cleveland Police investigating fatal shooting of 47-year-old man

CLEVELAND — Cleveland Police are seeking the public's help identifying the suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a 47-year-old man. 

According to reports, the victim, identified by the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner as Andre Sams, was found in a parking lot near the 6500 block of Broadway Avenue. 

Police arrived at the scene around 4:45 p.m., and observed citizens performing CPR on Sams, who suffered gunshot wounds to the head and body. Officers rendered aid to Sams until EMS arrived and transported him to MetroHealth Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. 

According to reports, while in the parking lot, Sams was involved in a conversation with an unknown male when he was by the same man, who then fled the scene in an unidentified vehicle. 

Police do not have any information on a suspect, a description of the vehicle or a potential motive at this time. Additionally, no arrests have been made.
