Do you recognize this man?

CLEVELAND — Police are asking for the public's help in identifying at least one suspect after a pair of recent attempted abductions.

Police have not determined if the same suspect committed both abduction attempts, but suspect descriptions match, and both incidents happened in the same area.

The first abduction attempt took place Sept. 25 around 6:40 a.m. at E. 36th Street and Prospect Avenue. A 16-year-old girl reported that an unknown man began following her, and sat down next to her at a bus stop. The suspect began masturbating and tried to grab the girl's wrist, but she fought him off.

The second incident happened Oct. 1 around 7 a.m. at E. 36th Street and Cedar Avenue. A 14-year-old girl reported that she was walking in the area when an unknown man grabbed her face and tried to pull her by the wrist. She also fought him off and flagged down a citizen for help.

In both incidents, the suspect was described as being about 6 feet tall, 200 pounds and in his early 30s. He may be bald or have a receding hairline, has red and black lightning bolt tattoos under both eyes, a small goatee or facial hair and was wearing a hood.

Anyone with information should call police at 216-623-5318.
