Cleveland Heights AMBER Alert canceled: 5 children taken by non-custodial parents found safe

All children were turned over to Cleveland Heights police.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio — Five children allegedly taken by their non-custodial parents Thursday afternoon have been found safe.

Just before 2:30 a.m. Friday, officials released information that the mother, 30-year-old Ebony Boxley, was taken into custody after the couple arranged to transfer the children to their grandfather.

An AMBER Alert had been issued shortly after midnight Friday for the children ranging in age from 3 to 15 years old.

Police say the mother and father, 32-year-old Cordero Edries Boxley, were wanted on drug charges.

Cleveland Heights police say Cordero Edries Boxley has not been arrested. He is 5'11'' and weighs 165 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

Cleveland Heights police say the children had been in the custody of Cuyahoga County Children and Family Services.

The parents were said to be driving a tan 2006 Dodge Caravan (much like the one pictured below) with the license plate number J553273.
