AKRON, Ohio — A Cuyahoga Falls man who pled guilty to rape, sexual battery, and gross imposition charges has been sentenced to 15 years in prison.
According to investigators, 36-year-old Justin Ballard 'fondled and performed oral sex' numerous times on a young family member.
Ballard entered the guilty plea back in November of last year. He has been designated as a 'Tier 3' sex offender, meaning once he is released from prison, he must register with the local sheriff every 90 days for the rest of his life.
“I am so impressed with the strength the survivor showed in facing the person who did these horrible things,” said Summit County Prosecutor Sherri Bevan Walsh in a statement. “I am also pleased to know the residents of Summit County are safer today as Mr. Ballard will spend a significant amount of time in prison.”
