East Cleveland Police seek help identifying man accused of setting stray dog on fire

EAST CLEVELAND, Ohio — The East Cleveland Police department is seeking the public’s help identifying a man wanted for animal cruelty.

According to police, the unidentified man is accused of lighting a crate on fire with a stray dog inside.

The dog was found and transported to Rainbow Veterinary Clinic in Cleveland Heights. However, due to the severity of the dog’s injuries, he was euthanized.

The suspect is  believed to frequent the 16000 block of Nelacrest Road.
