Elyria police in Friday arrested a man accused of attempting to carjack a woman, and he apparently admitted to committing another crime too.
Thirty-nine-year-old Johnny G. Mack III was taken into custody around 9:40 a.m. He is alleged to have attempted to carjack a 33-year-old woman in the parking lot of a local Speedway station late Thursday night.
According to authorities, Mack not only admitted to the attempted carjacking, but also to being involved in a break-in of a management office on South Abbe Road this past Monday. During that incident, several computer monitors and keyboards were taken.
Mack is currently being held at the Lorain Jail. He faces charged of aggravated robbery and breaking and entering.
