The ex-husband of a woman who was found dead in Ashtabula this past summer has been indicted for her murder.
Jeffrey A. Stanley, who had been named as a person of interest in the disappearance and death of 23-year-old Rand Al Dulaimi, has officially been charged with murder, felonious assault, tampering with evidence, gross abuse of a corpse, and domestic violence, Prosecutor Nicholas A. Iarocci announced Wednesday. Stanley is already currently in jail on separate child pornography charges.
Al Dulaimi's body was located on July 24 in Saybrook Township after she had been missing for nearly two weeks. Her death was later ruled a homicide by neck compression and blunt force head trauma.
A court date for Stanley has not yet been set, although Iarocci says that will come "in the near future."
