Man arrested for having illegal gambling operation at Summit County house

Adam Syed of Green faces charges of felony gambling and operating a gaming house.

GREEN, Ohio — A Green man faces two felony charges after engaging in an illegal gambling operation at his home.

Summit County Sheriff's deputies say they received complaints about high vehicle traffic at a home on Beechnut Drive earlier this month. Detectives then began an investigation into illegal gambling and drugs and obtained a search warrant for the house. 

The warrant was executed by police on Saturday. Gambling equipment, cash, a firearm, and suspected illegal drugs were located and seized from the residence.

37-year-old Adam Syed was arrested for for felony Gambling and Operating a Gaming House charges. 

Syed was transported to the Summit County Jail.
