A 26-year-old Akron man is in custody following accusations he shot and killed a man earlier this year.
Police say Sonny A. Howard, of Adelaide Blvd., shot 37-year-old Wooster resident Daniel L. Jones in the chest back on Jan. 15 on the 900 block of Clark St. Jones was later pronounced dead at Akron City Hospital.
Howard was apparently identified "through physical evidence and phone records" and was arrested Tuesday afternoon while at work. He was arraigned Wednesday in Akron Municipal Court on murder charges and is currently being held in the Akron City Jail on $1 million bond.
