AKRON, Ohio — Summit County Sheriff Inspector Bill Holland told Channel 3 Tuesday that deputies arrested a man for assault earlier this month at the Jason Aldean concert at Blossom Music Center.

The department’s report detailing the incident was not immediately available.

Holland said he was working at Blossom during the Aug. 9 Aldean show and that detectives are investigating claims that others were also assaulted that night.

“We immediately responded and were able to identify the suspect and place him under arrest,” he said. “One victim was treated, and we are looking into other victims.”

Channel 3 has been in contact with a woman who posted on social media photos of bruises on her face that she said she suffered when a man assaulted her in the Blossom parking lot.

Holland said his office has reviewed social media posts about the alleged assault and that other people have since come forward with information.

The Summit County Sheriff’s Office also arrested a Northfield Center Township man Tuesday for allegedly sexually assaulting a 19-year-old woman during a concert last Friday at Blossom. Holland said that Ryan H. Bollas was charged with sexual imposition. Holland said the woman said Bollas was standing behind her when he reached around and touched her.

Holland said the woman’s friend snapped a photo of Bollas, which was used to later idenfity him.

Live Nation, which manages the music venue, did not respond to a call or email seeking information about its security procedures and the incidents during the recent shows.

Live Nation has its own security staff but contracts with the Summit County Sheriff’s Office, which provides deputies for concerts. Holland said the sheriff's office adds deputies based on the projected crowd size of each event. Deputies handle traffic control and respond to incidents of all types, from assaults to under-age drinking.
