PARMA, Ohio — A Middleburg Heights man is in police custody after allegedly stabbing a man several times at a residence in Parma Saturday.
Officials responded to the 6500 block of Orchard Avenue just after 4 p.m. for reports that a man had been stabbed.
At the scene, police provided first aid to the victim, a 38-year-old man, before he was transported to MetroHealth Medical Center and treated for multiple stab wounds. An update on his condition was not provided.
A witness to the stabbing identified the suspect as 39-year-old Keith Ohara. According to reports, Ohara fled the scene in car prior to police arriving.
He was taken into custody later the same day by Middleburg Heights Police. Ohara has been charged with one count of Attempted Murder and one count of Aggravated Burglary.
His court appearance has not yet been scheduled. The case will be presented to the Cuyahoga County Grand Jury for additional charges.
