A bizarre series of events led to both a car accident and the discovery of a missing girl Wednesday afternoon on Cleveland's east side.

According to police, a vehicle was traveling near the 1000 block of Eddy Road around 5:45 p.m. when someone inside began firing multiple gunshots out a window. As this was happening, the car then crashed into two other parked vehicles. No one was hit by the bullets.

Among the five people in the car, three males fled, while two females remained on scene. Authorities say one of these girls was found to be a missing juvenile. Her identity was not released.

The incident remains under investigation.
