Norton woman pleads guilty to robbery and assault involving pit bulls

She and her daughter used dogs to attack a store employee after being accused of stealing in the parking lot.

AKRON, Ohio — Linda Snow, 65, of South Hametown Road in Norton has plead guilty to multiple charges, Summit County Prosecutor Sherri Bevan Walsh announced Wednesday.

Snow pled guilty in connection to a robbery at an ACME Market and an assault on a store employee. The charges are Aggravated Robbery, a felony of the 1st degree, and Felonious Assault, a felony in the 2nd degree.

Snow and her daughter, Jennifer Clark, 38, stole a cart full of groceries from the ACME Market food store on East Avenue in the Kenmore neighborhood of Akron. After being confronted by an ACME employee in the parking lot, Snow opened the doors of her vehicle where there were three pit bull dogs. The employee was attacked by two of the dogs, resulting in serious injuries. Snow, Clark, Clark’s 11-year-old son and the dogs fled the scene.

Clark, of LaCroix Avenue in Akron, pled guilty to multiple charges on January 29, 2020. The charges were Robbery, a felony of the 3rd degree and Endangering Children – a misdemeanor of the 1st degree.

Summit County Common Pleas Court Judge Kathryn Michael has scheduled sentencing for Clark on May 27, 2020 and Snow on July 9, 2020.
