Several police vehicles sustained damage in the police pursuit that finally ended on Cleveland's east side

CLEVELAND – A woman was arrested Friday night after she led officers on a chase from Interstate 77 north through Cleveland's east side.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol released dashcam video of the chase, which can be viewed in the player above.

Troopers with the Ohio State Highway Patrol say they went to pull over a vehicle near the Wallings Road exit on I-77 when the driver briefly stopped and took off, initiating the pursuit.

Newburgh Heights police assisted troopers in trying to stop the car, resulting in two of their police cars being hit by the suspect. Newburgh Heights Police Chief John Mayjoy said one of the cars sustained moderate, disabling damage.

An OSHP cruiser was also hit and damaged. Troopers say the driver nearly missed officers who were standing outside of their cars at the time they were hit.

The pursuit finally ended in Cleveland near E.105th Street and St. Clair when the driver came to a forcible stop.

The woman, identified as Imani Edwards, was arrested at the scene. According to the county, Edwards is charged with felonious assault and failure to comply.
