MENTOR -- Police have identified the man who admitted to killing his girlfriend during a domestic dispute Thursday morning.

Thirty-eight-year-old Russell Fritz called police to report the killing around 2:30 a.m. When officers responded to the South Villa Marina Court home, Fritz immediately surrendered.

Officers found 35-year-old Kristen Laux with stab wounds. Her body was taken to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner.

Fritz, who is charged with murder, was arraigned Friday morning on $1 million bond.
