A pair of suspects have been arrested after they allegedly robbed an elderly couple in Akron Monday morning.
According to police, the couple were backing out of their driveway on Brighton Drive around 9 a.m. when their car became stuck in the snow. Two males then stopped to help, but then one of the males suddenly pulled out a gun and demanded property. The victims gave them a wallet and a purse before the suspects fled, and the couple then called the police.
Officers were able to track the suspects' footprints to another Brighton Drive location and two suspects were arrested: 20-year-old Treyvon Wright and a 16-year-old boy. Both were charged with two counts of aggravated robbery.
While authorities say the purse and wallet were recovered, a cell phone that was also taken was not found.
