Cleveland Police have arrested a teenage boy wanted for a string of violent crimes on the city's west side.

The 15-year-old boy was taken into custody on Friday, February 26. He was wanted for his involvement in multiple carjackings, assaults, and kidnappings.

On February 17, a woman left her car running in a driveway of a home on West 31st Street with her two children, ages 3 and 6 years old, inside. As she walked up the driveway, the suspect allegedly entered the car and drove off. Realizing the children were inside, he threw them from the car and, again, drove away.

In a separate incident, a woman was assaulted and carjacked while at Caribe Bake Shop on Fulton Road. This incident took place on Feb. 21.

The following day, the suspect approached a man warming up his car on West 32nd Street. He took the victim's car and while fleeing the scene, the victim tried to grab onto the car and was dragged suffering multiple injuries.

On February 25, the suspect allegedly robbed a woman at gunpoint near Sackett and Scranton Blvd, taking her vehicle. He later crashed the car on I-90 near Dead Man's Curve.

Detectives investigated the crimes and were able to connect them all. With the help of a K9 officer, the suspect was located by First and Second District officers.

According to police, the boy is a suspect in additional incidents.
