The three officers are charged with assaulting another Cleveland Officer. The charges stem from an incident that took place November 15 at the Patrolmen's Association located at 1303 West 58th Street.
Patrol Officer Michael Phelps, 29, is charged with one count of misdemeanor assault from the CPPA incident and one count of misdemeanor assault plus one count of menacing from an incident occurring shortly thereafter. He was hired in December of 2015.
John Ogle, 29, is charged with one count of misdemeanor assault. He was hired in September of 2016.

All three officers are currently assigned to the Fifth District on Basic Patrol and have been placed on restricted duty with no contact with the public pending adjudication of the criminal charges.
Once the criminal case has been resolved, an administrative review of the incident will be conducted. A decision on what discipline, if any, the officers will receive will be determined after the administrative review.
