Troopers seize $276K worth of marijuana and hash oil during routine traffic stop in Summit County

A Reno, Nevada man faces a possible sentence of 32 years in prison and up to a $60,000 fine

A Nevada man is facing felony drug charges after Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers seized large quantities of marijuana and hash oil during a recent traffic stop in Summit County. 

Justin Lee Clapper, 34, of Reno, was stopped on Tuesday afternoon for a 'marked lanes violation' on the Ohio Turnpike. Suspicious activity led troopers to a probable cause search with a drug-sniffing dog. 

Troopers seized of 90 pounds of marijuana and 806 grams of hash oil worth approximately $276,600 from Clapper's Nissan Rogue with Oregon registration.

Clapper has been charged with possession and trafficking in marijuana and liquid hash, all second-degree felonies.

If convicted, he could face up to 32 years in prison and up to a $60,000 fine.
