CLEVELAND — Authorities have arrested two men who were both wanted in separate murder cases in Cleveland dating back to January.

The U.S. Marshals Service announced the arrests Thursday morning as follows:

23-year-old Torrez Smith

Smith was arrested Wednesday in the alleged drive-by shooting death of Alivia Leeth, 42, on Jan. 8 near the 3900 block of Broadway Avenue in Cleveland.

Authorities say he was taken into custody at the address of an associate near the 9400 block of Cherry Tree Drive in Strongsville.

31-year-old Mark James

James was arrested in connection with the death of 30-year-old Darius Sikes Jr. back on Jan. 1. Authorities said that Sikes was found in the doorway of a residence near the 14900 block of Kinsman Road with multiple gunshot wounds to the chest and abdomen.

James was arrested near the 10200 block of Anderson Avenue in Cleveland.

“The Cleveland Division of Police homicide unit continues to produce outstanding work and our task force is doing our best to get these violent fugitives off our Cleveland streets,” U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott said in a statement.

Those with information about any currently wanted fugitive can contact the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force at 1-866-4WANTED.
