According to the Diversity Center, since 1949, The Diversity Center has honored individuals of outstanding dedication and community service in our region at the Annual Humanitarian Award Dinner, one of the largest corporate dinners and networking events in Northeast Ohio.

Honorees exhibit an extensive record of involvement in civic, charitable, volunteer, and professional organizations. Each honoree has also contributed greatly to the improvement of human relations among diverse groups in Northeast Ohio.

In addition to honoring outstanding humanitarians, the dinner is a major source of financial support for the Diversity Center’s School and Youth programming that empowers over 10,000 youth and youth serving professionals in eleven counties across Northeast Ohio, according to the Diversity Center.

The Diversity Center of Northeast Ohio’s mission is to eliminate bias, bigotry, and racism. Its goal is to help individuals and organizations develop the necessary skills and tools to recognize, understand, appreciate, leverage, and celebrate diversity.
