Taking a quick break from the rough and tumble of training camp, the Browns on Saturday are set to launch their "Get 2 School, Stay in the Game!" network to promote school attendance in the state of Ohio.

The formal launch event will take place at 2 p.m. from FirstEnergy Stadium prior to today's Orange & Brown Scrimmage. The team hopes the initiative will help "put an end to chronic absenteeism."

Speakers will include:

  • Browns owner Dee Haslam
  • Former Browns cornerback Michael Lehan
  • "Voice of the Browns" and WKYC's own Jim Donovan
  • Ohio Superintendent of Public Instruction Paolo DeMaria

The Ohio Department of Education and Proving Ground are partnering with the Cleveland Browns Foundation in this effort. Roughly 500 educators, students, and family members from the Get 2 School Network will also be in attendance.
