BEDFORD, Ohio — Some students in the Bedford City School District are getting a day off Thursday as several buildings are closed due to a power outage.
The schools that are CLOSED Thursday, Sept. 19, 2019, include:
- Bedford High School
- Carylwood Intermediate School
- Columbus Intermediate School
- Central Primary School
“The high school students who are already at school will be sent home by bus if transported by bus,” school officials posted on social media. “BHS walkers and students who arrived by car will also be sent home.”
Classes remain in session, however, for all students who attend Glendale Primary School and Heskett Middle School in the Bedford district because both buildings are OPEN Thursday.
FirstEnergy's outage map shows nearly 300 customers without power throughout Cuyahoga County as of 8 a.m. It's estimated all electricity will be restored within the county by 11 a.m. Thursday.
