Schools across Ohio lighting their stadiums in honor of 2020 graduating class tonight

The lights will shine for 20 minutes and 20 seconds.

CLEVELAND — High school graduation is one of those unforgettable lifetime achievements every student looks forward to.

But this year is very different.

2020 seniors throughout the country have spent the last few weeks of their high school education away from their teachers, classrooms and friends as schools have been closed to help slow the spread of coronavirus.

Other events like commencement ceremonies and prom are also question marks.

While this is definitely a difficult time, we're all in this together.

To show support for all seniors in the 2020 graduating class, some schools across the state will light up their stadiums Monday night at 8:20 p.m. for 20 minutes and 20 seconds.

Everybody in the community is encouraged to get involved by turning their porch lights on, too.

Here's a list of some of the area districts that will be participating on Monday.

Kenston High School

Port Clinton Schools announced Sunday they are among the districts participating.

Aurora High School

Strongsville High School

Nearby in North Royalton, Serpentini Stadium will also be on.

Perry High School in Stark County is also planning to take part in lighting its stadium.

Independence High School is also taking part.

Mentor High School is also taking part at Jerome T. Osborne Stadium.

Byers Field in Parma will light up, according to the Parma City School District.

We've also seen confirmation that the following schools will join in the 20 minute, 20 second tribute:

  • Lakewood City Schools & St. Edward High School -- First Federal Stadium
  • North Olmsted High School
  • Avon High School
  • Orange High School
  • Eastlake North & Willoughby South High School
  • Wellington High School's Dickson Stadium
  • Copley High School
  • Cleveland Heights High School
  • Bay High School
  • Padua High School
  • Rocky River High School
  • Woodridge Schools (Peninsula OH)-HS stadium
  • St. Vincent St. Mary
  • Berea-Midpark: Roehm Athletic Complex stadium lights

Way to go, graduates! We're so proud of you! Congratulations!
