GUIDE | Here's where you can watch Independence Day fireworks this weekend in Northeast Ohio

It's time to celebrate America's 243nd birthday, and Northeast Ohio is ready to let freedom ring!

Ashland County

Ashland (July 4)

  • Festivities begin at 5 p.m. from Community Stadium, including a Journey Tribute Band
  • Fireworks at dusk

Ashtabula County

Conneaut (July 4-6)

  • Festival at Lakeview Park with rides, entertainment, food, and more from noon-midnight each day
  • Fireworks at 10 p.m. on July 6

Geneva-on-the-Lake (July 4)

  • Festivities all day from GOTL Municipal Golf Course with plenty of food and music
  • Fireworks at 10 p.m.; can be seen all across the strip

Carroll County

Mineral City (July 5)

  • Fireworks begin at roughly 10 p.m at Atwood Lake

Cuyahoga County

Bay Village (July 3-6)

  • Bay Days festival at Cahoon Memorial Park featuring rides, kids parade, and even a vintage baseball game
  • Fireworks at dusk on July 4

Berea (July 4-6)

  • Grindstone Festival takes place from 4-10 p.m. each day at Coe Lake Park, with paddle boat rides, live music, rides and games, and so much more.
  • Fireworks at 10 p.m. on July 4

Brantenahl (July 3)

  • Independence Day Celebration at Village park starting at 7 p.m.
  • Fireworks around 10 p.m.

Broadview Heights (July 11-14)

  • Home Days on the Green with live music, activities, and even a petting zoo
  • Fireworks at 10 p.m. each of the first three days

Cleveland (July 4)

  • Fireworks at sundown, with notable viewing spots being Dock 20 on Lake Erie, the William G. Mather Steamship, or even the Goodtime III for dinner and dancing
  • Greater Cleveland Aquarium will also hold a special "Fun Before 4" event beginning at 10 a.m., with free admission for all active military and first responders
  • NOTE: This year's Star-Spangled Spectacular featuring the Cleveland Orchestra will not take place until Aug. 7 due to the MLB All-Star Game Festivities

Lakewood (July 4)

  • Parade and concert staring at 10 a.m. at Lakewood Park
  • Fireworks at 9:30 p.m., with residents also having a view from Elmwood Park in Independence

Mayfield Village (June 29)

  • Parkview Pool activities starting at noon
  • Music at the Grove at 5 p.m.
  • Fireworks at 10 p.m.

Middleburg Heights (June 27-29)

  • Summer in the City Festival at library and Central Park with parade, games, rides, and even a car show
  • Fireworks at dusk on June 29

North Olmsted (June 30)

  • Boom! 2018 at Great Northern Mall at 7 p.m. with food trucks, live music, and so much more
  • Fireworks at dusk

Solon (July 3)

  • Fireworks at dusk from Solon Community Park
  • Multiple traffic restrictions will be in effect along SOM Center Road; click here for more details

Strongsville (July 4)

  • Fireworks at 10 p.m. from the Foltz Pkwy. athletic fields

Westlake (July 4)

  • Festivities begin at Clague Park at 9:30 a.m., with parade, food, car show, and even patriotic readings
  • Fireworks at dusk

Erie County

Cedar Point (July 4-6)

  • "Light Up the Point" fireworks all three nights, with festivities beginning at 9 p.m. and the best viewing from Cedar Point Beach near Windseeker
  • Free admission for all active and retired military as well as active first responders

Put-in-Bay (July 4)

  • Fireworks at dusk from the harbor
  • Naturalization ceremony will also take place for new U.S. citizens at 11 a.m. from the lower plaza

Sandusky (July 4)

  • Stars & Stripes Festival from Washington Park starting at 10 a.m. with food, games, music, and pony rides
  • Fireworks at dusk

Geauga County

Auburn Township/Bainbridge (July 5)

  • Fireworks at 6 p.m. from Kenston High School

Chardon (July 3)

  • Old Glory Day Festival from Historic Chardon Square beginning at 1 p.m. with children's parade and plenty of food and activities
  • Fireworks at dusk

Holmes County

Millersburg (June 29)

  • Thunder Over Holmes County fireworks begin at 9:45 p.m. downtown

Loudonville (July 6)

  • Fireworks begin at dusk from Riverside Park

Huron County

Norwalk (July 4-6)

  • Parade on July 4 for children and veterans with fireworks at dusk on the fairgrounds
  • Norwalk Music Festival also takes place all three days

Lake County

Eastlake/Willowick (July 4)

  • Fireworks at Classic Park
  • Doors open at 7:30 p.m., show begins at 9:55

Fairport Harbor (July 3-7)

  • Fairport Mardi Gras Festival featuring parade and special days for kids, seniors, and veterans
  • Fireworks at 9 p.m. on July 7

Mentor (July 4)

  • Special concert from the Cleveland POPS beginning at 7:30 p.m. from the Mentor Civic Amphitheater, followed by a 25-minute fireworks display

Painesville (July 5)

  • "Freedom Friday" at Painesville Speedway with racing in Ironmen Classic
  • Fireworks to follow

Willoughby (July 4)

  • Fireworks at 9 p.m. from Willoughby South High School

Lorain County

Avon (July 3-4)

  • Fireworks each night following 7:05 p.m. Lake Erie Crushers games at Sprenger Stadium

Avon Lake (July 4)

  • Dog parade at 1 p.m. followed by celebration at Weiss Fields
  • Fireworks at 10 p.m.

Elyria (July 4)

  • Great American Picnic and Fireworks Show at West Park
  • Fireworks at dusk

Lorain (July 4)

  • Fireworks at dusk from Mile-Long Pier

North Ridgeville (July 3)

  • Celebration at South Central Park at 7 p.m. with food, live music, balloons, and bounce houses

  • Fun Run at 8 a.m. followed by parade and festival at Kiwanis-Moore Park

  • Folk music, food trucks, and helicopter tours starting at 7:30 p.m. on July 3 from Hiram College Football Field; fireworks to follow at 9:30
  • Festivities continue on July 4 with parade, car show, sports, and plenty of games and contests downtown

Kent (July 6)

  • Heritage Festival downtown with Kid's Zone and plenty of food and entertainment
  • Fireworks at 10 p.m.

Richland County

Ontario (June 29)

  • Celebration at Ontario High School includes parade, frog jumping contest, laser tag, 5K run, pageant, and plenty of games
  • Fireworks at 10:05 p.m.

Mansfield (June 30 & July 6)

  • Mansfield Motor Speedway Freedom Fest Fireworks at dusk on June 30
  • Fireworks at Charles Mill Lake Park at dusk on July 6

Stark County

Alliance (July 4)

  • Fireworks at dusk from Silver Park

Canton

  • Fireworks at 9:45 p.m. from McKinley Presidential Library & Museum

Jackson Township (June 26-29)

  • Celebration all three days at North Park including car show at 5 p.m. and Night Glow 5K run & Kid's Fun Run at 9:15 on June 28

Akron (July 3-6)

  • Annual Rib, White, & Blue Festival at Lock 3 beginning at 11 a.m. with massive rib cook-off
  • Fireworks at 9:45 p.m. on July 4

Barberton (June 29)

  • Auto racing at Barberton Motor Speedway
  • Fireworks at dusk

Cuyahoga Falls (July 3-4)

  • Blossom Music Festival's Salute to America concert featuring patriotic music and fireworks both nights starting at 8 p.m.

Fairlawn (July 4)

  • Parade at 4:30 p.m. followed by concert at Bicentennial Park
  • Fireworks at 10 p.m., although they could go off as early as 7:30 p.m. depending on weather

Green (June 29)

  • Freedom Fest at Boettler Park starting at noon, with food, music, beer garden, inflatables, and even train rides
  • Fireworks at dusk

Hudson

  • Fireworks at dusk from Barlow Farm Park

Portage Lakes (July 6)

  • Portage Lakes State Park at 10 p.m.

Springfield Lake (June 27-30)

  • Rock the Docks Festival with music, rides, food, games, and even an animal show
  • Fireworks at dusk on June 29

Twinsburg (July 3)

  • Cleveland Pops Orchestra concert at 7:30 p.m. at Perici Amphitheater
  • Fireworks to follow

Tuscarawas County

Mineral City (July 4-7)

  • Celebration each day at Atwood Lake Park with crafts, activities, and night hikes
  • Fireworks at 10 p.m. on July 5

Wayne County

Orrville (July 2-6)

  • Orrville Firefighters Independence Day Celebration with parade on July 2 followed by days of various fun activities
  • Fireworks at dusk on July 6

Wooster (July 4)

  • Ohio Light Opera Community Pops concert at 7 p.m. downtown
  • Fireworks at dusk from Kinney Fields
