Cleveland Clinic hosts 17th annual Minority Men’s Health Fair at four NEO locations

Over the past 16 years, more than 16,000 men have attended the health fair

CLEVELAND — Th 17th annual Minority Men's Health Fair hosted by Cleveland Clinic is taking place Thursday at four different locations.

The health fair includes free health screenings and information on topics such as prostate cancer, blood pressure, cholesterol, kidney function, diabetes (blood sugar), heart disease, Hepatitis C, HIV, lung health, skin cancer, vision and dental screenings, oral cancer, stress/depression, body mass index and wellness.

This year, in an effort to reach more minority men, the health fair occurred simultaneously across four locations: main campus, Akron General, Lorain Family Health and Surgery Center and Lutheran Hospital. The event is taking place until 8:30 p.m.

Over the past 16 years, more than 16,000 men have attended the health fair and have undergone a total of more than 48,000 screenings. 

Anyone regardless of race, ethnicity, gender or any other status is welcome to attend.
