Agents from the Ohio Investigative Unit have accused two more Northeast Ohio bars of violating COVID-19 health orders.
Both restaurants received disorderly activity citations between Friday evening and early Saturday morning. The allegations are as follows:
- Gen's 176 Bar & Grill, Parma: Officials claim to have observed patrons congregating throughout the bar area and while standing in line to order around 1 a.m., and many were standing while drinking alcohol (current orders stipulate they must be seated while doing so). Little to no social distancing was taking place and most customers and workers were not wearing face masks.
- Grand River Manor, Geneva: Patrons were allegedly crowding the bar without social distancing around 8:05 p.m. Most people inside were not wearing face masks.
The cases will go before the Ohio Liquor Control Commission, and both bars face possible suspension of their liquor licenses. Several Northeast Ohio bars have already been hit with that penalty since the pandemic began.
