CLEVELAND — As concerns of the coronavirus continues growing, the Cleveland Clinic is prepared.
“We will have testing capabilities on campus” an official with the Cleveland Clinic tells 3News.
The Cleveland Clinic now has the capability to test up to 500 cases per day and will have those results within eight hours.
Officials say these testing capabilities are "just like many other hospitals locally and across the country.” This is not a new test, the Cleveland Clinic used public data from the CDC to develop the test capabilities internally.
Meanwhile, the Cleveland Clinic has notified its employees of "additional precautions" due to coronavirus. This includes a change to the hospital system's absence and visitation policies. On Thursday, Officials held a press conference and detailed the changes.
- All visitors must be 16 years of age or older
- Visitors will be limited to 2/ per day.
- Vendors and entrances will be limited
- Hours will be limited to 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
