Coronavirus recovery: 143 people released from isolation after COVID-19 infection in Cuyahoga County

CLEVELAND — You’ve been hearing a lot about how many people are diagnosed with COVID-19 throughout Ohio, but new information released Friday morning provided some good news worth celebrating.

143 people who were infected with coronavirus have now been cleared from isolation in Cuyahoga County.

“These numbers literally change by the minute and hour,” Dr. Heidi Gullett said Friday during a press conference while releasing new data within the jurisdiction of the Cuyahoga County Board of Health.

She also said there are now 764 lab-confirmed cases to date, including 20 deaths. Additionally, there have been 737 isolation orders with another 1,427 people under quarantine.

On Thursday, state officials announced Ohio's confirmed cases had grown to 5,512 with 213 total deaths.
