CLEVELAND — With cities across Northeast Ohio restricting restaurant, bar and other business operations to minimize in-person social interactions, community leaders have called upon residents to use delivery and pickup services instead.
To limit the spread of COVID-19, delivery services such as Door Dash are updating their approach to a no-contact by default solution. This means that if you order food, beverages, groceries or otherwise, you can ask the deliverer of your items to “leave it at my door”. This way, you are able to increase your social distancing and limit the amount of contact that you have with another person. If you’re not comfortable with having your items left at the door, you can still select for your items to be handed to you directly.
Door Dash is also adding 100,000 restaurants across the USA to its DashPash. This subscription program charges $0 for deliveries. Door Dash along with other restaurants are joining forces to deliver nearly 1 million pounds of groceries and prepared foods to those in need.
If you’re a restaurant owner and want to utilize the services of Door Dash, you can sign up for free and pay no commissions to Door Dash for 30 days.
